Julian Monroe Fisher graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, USA, with a degree in Anthropology and Philosophy. Today he is a noted explorer and an adventurer. He is also an Ethnographical documentary filmmaker, a published author, a photographer, a lecturer, a Fellow with The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) in London, an International Fellow with the Explorers Club in New York City and the Communications Director for The Explorers Club West Europe Chapter. He has conducted expeditions in over eighty-five countries around the globe, having led to date five successful expeditions to the African continent, four of which were sanctioned Explorers Club flag expeditions.
